Middle School Hockey
Middle School Hockey is a supplemental program for players in Grades 5-8. Depending on interest, the Jr. Maples will enter teams at each grade level, or combination of grade levels. The VMSHL is "no check" at every age level.
Skaters registering to play Middle School Hockey with the Jr. Maples do not have to be part of our regular season program to be eligible.
Ages
Currently in Grades 5-8
When
Middle School games are coordinated around the VHL schedule to minimize conflicts. Games typically take place on Sundays.
The VMSHL begins in Late November and will run through February.
Where
The Valley Middle School Hockey League utilizes a network of over 30 rinks in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Games are scheduled geographically to minimize travel.
Practices
Practices will be minimal depending on the coach and available ice time. There may be a few warm-up skates as the season begins.
